1. It’s Recommended … and Sometimes Required!

It’s a fact of life; accidents happen. Hazardous and non-hazardous materials spills can take place any time, on your premises or in transport. A spill of any material can be detrimental to both the environment and your company, so it’s important to have a plan in place to deal with it before it happens. Depending on the materials you’re handling, there are rules and procedures that you’re required to follow in the event of a spill. When you sign up for an Elk Emergency Response Contract (Elk ER), you’ll cover your PPC or SPCC plan requirements which mandates an emergency response contractor be listed. With an Elk ER, you will have the confidence that in the event of a release, you will be taken care of promptly and efficiently.

2. No Cost, No Obligation

A reliable emergency response contractor that you can count on without any obligation? That’s right. With an Elk ER, you get the reliability and experience of Elk Environmental Services as your emergency response contractor, ready to respond 24 hours a day, seven days a week with no upfront contract cost to you. As part of the ER, you will receive additional safeguards to help protect your facility. We’ll even keep a record of your company’s information on file for quick access to ER points of contact in the event of an emergency.

3. Peace of Mind

When a situation involves some kind of spill or release, you don’t want to waste precious time trying to search and find a qualified response contractor. By signing up for Elk ER, we will keep a copy of your signed agreement on file so in the unfortunate event that you do experience an emergency, all it takes is one call to our 24-hour emergency hotline to initiate the response. Now that’s peace of mind!

4. All the Services You Need, ONE Company

If you experience a spill or release, chances are you might also need site remediation, transportation and disposal of waste generated, or even demolition services after the initial clean-up, which often means dealing with multiple contractors. However, at Elk you deal with ONE company that offers an entire comprehensive line of services to respond to your emergency and complete any restoration of your site.

5. Additional Help with Your Emergency Planning

When you sign up for an Elk ER, we strive to make your emergency planning a little easier. You’ll receive high-visibility 24 Hour Emergency response stickers with our 800-number to post throughout your facility or in your vehicles. We will also come out to your site to do an in-depth walk-through by one of our experienced incident commanders to get a better understanding of the layout of your business and to specifically understand potential risk areas like storm drains, waste storage areas, wastewater and process tanks locations. This site visit will allow us to take notes and have a better understanding of how we would respond to an emergency at your business.
