History

Elk was founded in 1988 by O’Neill Financial Group. Harry and Todd O’Neill, president and vice president of Empire Services, formed Elk Transportation, Inc. as an environmental waste transporter to complement their already successful demolition and excavation business.

Since beginning operations in 1988, Elk quickly evolved into a full-service industrial and environmental remediation and waste management services firm and has continued to grow – broadening its line of services, expanding its service area, building an experienced management team, and attaining additional licenses and certifications. Today, Elk has become a successful industrial and environmental remediation and waste management company.
